An action plan for the renovation wave: collectively achieving sustainable buildings in Europe

Launching the renovation wave as part of the EU Green Deal will require a holistic approach involving all sectors, from policy makers to industry, financial institutions, and individual home and building owners.

An evidence-based approach

The Buildings Performance Institute Europe (BPIE) has published a paper laying out an evidence-based strategy for the buildings sector, with actionable guidelines specific to each group along the value chain. It aims to support the transition to climate neutrality, while pulling Europeans out of energy poverty, and growing the green economy.

What’s there to know about the BPIE?

The BPIE is dedicated to improving the energy performance of buildings across Europe, thereby helping to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used by buildings.

It is a not-for-profit think tank with a focus on independent analysis and knowledge dissemination, supporting evidence-based policy making in the field of energy performance in buildings.
