Renosmart: making smart choices

Together with Engie (Laborelec), Viessmann and Ugent, Th!nk E has been in the Intelligent Renovation innovator zone working on the ‘Renosmart’ feasibility study. This uses dynamic simulations to compare the impact of driven renovation on a building level with the impact of integration and exploitation of flexibility on a building level as an active parameter for the optimisation of the energy park on the macro-scale. The question that will be answered is whether this last possibility has a more positive effect on emissions, investments and the amount of renewable energy.
