Be part of The New Green Deal: a unique AI and Cleantech Workshop

06/02/2020 - Harelbeke

Join Pattie Maes, MIT Medialab Professor, and other speakers leading in their field and be immersed in the exciting world of AI and Cleantech during an intensive and hands-on workshop.

This is the first activity in a series of events, organized by Cleantech Hub Snowball and the cultural organization Gluon, as part of the STARTS Regional Centers project. Attendees to the event include artists, entrepreneurs, data scientists and researchers. All participants will also be treated to a guided tour of an exhibition exploring the topic of “energy” at the intersection of art, science and technology and to a walking dinner to close the event.

As partner to the event, Flux50 has five complimentary tickets to hand out for the afternoon workshop.
The first five people to email alexandra@snowball.eu are the lucky attendees.

The event will be held at Snowball, a new state-of-the-art cleantech hub supported by VLAIO.

Snowball and Gluon, a Brussels-based organization that stimulates collaboration between artists, researchers and industrialist in Belgium and Europe and partner of BOZAR, have joined forces within the STARTS programme, as STARTS Regional Center.

STARTS (Science, Technology & the Arts) is an initiative of the European Commission, launched under the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme. Its purpose is to support collaborations between artists, scientists, engineers and researchers to develop more creative, inclusive and sustainable technologies. As one of the six STARTS Regional Centers, the focus of Snowball & Gluon lies on the UN SDGs related to Cleantech, notably Clean Energy, Sustainable Cities and Communities and Climate Action.

Practicalities: the workshop will be held on February 6th 2020 at Snowball, Evolis 104, 8530 Harelbeke. You can find more information on the program and practical information on the Gluon website.
