Super Smart Charging Hubs (SSCH) : Data, flexibility, battery innovation and viable business models
Join us for an integrated one-day information- and knowledge-sharing event exploring Super Smart Charging Hubs (SSCH) and their role in future-proof energy- and mobility-systems. A co-organisation of Flux50, VUB, WaytoGo and ASTER
Today, the ecosystem still lacks viable business models, alignment across the value chain, practical pilots for car-sharing companies, governance models for collective investments, and broad acceptance among local governments, citizens, and investors.
To tackle these challenges, we cordially invite you to block your calendar for this integrated one‑day information and knowledge‑sharing event:
Super Smart Charging Hubs (SSCH) Information Session
- Date: Tuesday, October 6th, 2026 - 9am - 6pm
- Location: Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Pleinlaan 2, 1050 Elsene (Brussels)
What to expect?
This event brings together experts from Flanders and the Netherlands to share first results, real-life insights, regulatory perspectives, and emerging business models. The objective is to build an integrated framework combining collective charging, shared mobility, battery innovation, energy management, data-driven flexibility, and business-model development.
The session is directly connected to two strategic Flux50 initiatives and the insights from Way to Go:
- Innovation & Market Testing: Piloting battery-based business models in real-life settings (e.g., neighborhood batteries, charging hubs, V2G, flexibility services) to optimize investment cases, revenue streams, and value-chain positioning.
- Knowledge & Framework Development: Integrating insights into approach, methodologies, and governance frameworks, including tariff design, data exchange standards, flexibility valuation, and asset control strategies.
- Value Chain & User Insights: Providing essential input from across the value chain and from end-user perspectives.
